The
16th Annual Autumn Leaves Beauty Pageants will be held on
Mothers
will be required to be on the stage with Baby and Wee Miss/Master
contestants. All contestants will appear on stage for 2 rounds in their
formal wear. Finalists
will be awarded based on the number of entries in each age division. Each
will receive a finalist’s trophy. Winners will receive the equivalent of
a $100 savings bond, a crown, embroidered satin sash, banner pin, and
trophy. Each participant receives a trophy.
**There
will be a $250.00 scholarship (made payable to the school of choice)
awarded to the winner of the Miss Division**
Each
pageant will last approximately 30 minutes - Please arrive at least 30
minutes before your pageant is scheduled to begin. (Divisions
and times are subject to change depending on the number of contestants.) ENTRY
FEE: $40.00 due on or before Thursday, Nov. 12th

LATE OR DOOR ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED

will be held for all contestants on Friday, November 13th at the Star
Theatre beginning at OPTIONAL:
Photogenic One
winner per age division will be awarded.
Submit
a photo (no larger than 8x10). Frames are not allowed. Photographs are to
be turned in during pageant practice. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED! Also,
photos MUST be picked up the day of the pageant. OPTIONAL:
Signature Poster You
will need to have at least 75 family members, friends, businesses, etc. to
sign your poster. Each person signing must donate at least $1.00 (or more)
to the JEB Stuart Volunteer Rescue Squad. This optional event is open to
last year's winners. Contestants may submit a decorated signature poster -
a gift will be awarded for "the prettiest poster" as well as for
the contestant collecting the most money in each age division. Each
contestant participating in the signature poster category will be named as
an Autumn Leaves Princess and will receive a crown and sash. There will be
one overall winner named - the contestant collecting the most money in the
signature poster category for the JEB Stuart Rescue Squad will be crowned
the Autumn Leaves Queen. This is the most prestigious award of the entire
pageant. The winner will receive a large crown, 5 foot trophy, satin
embroidered sash, and banner pin. The winner will be announced at the end
of the pageant that they will be participating in.
All
posters and money will be collected Friday, November 13th during practice.

Surry County Genealogical Association will meet, Monday night, 9 November,
2009, at 6:00 PM, in The Research Room at Surry Community College, Dobson,
N. C. for a Sharing and Research Meeting. Everyone is asked to bring your
